Ch. Anil Kumar said that though Chief Minister Arvind was the creation of the media, he has not spoken up against snooping on prominent media persons, and Congress leader Shri Rahul Gandhi.
Ch. Anil Kumar has also written to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind, demanding that during the present session of the Delhi Assembly, discuss the Pegasus spy scandal, as it was an assault on the freedom of the people and democracy.

Addressing the Congress workers, Ch. Anil Kumar said that the entire Opposition has boycotted the on-going Parliament session till a discussion on the snooping of prominent citizens in the country is held, and the entire Opposition stands united on the issue, but Delhi Chief Minister Arvind seems to have become oblivious to what is happening around him. Ch. Anil Kumar said that either CM Arvind is scared of the Modi-Amit Shah duo ruling the Centre, or he is in alignment with the BJP.
Ch. Anil Kumar said that Chief Minister Arvind’s incompetence was exposed threadbare when he mismanaged the Covid-19 pandemic, resulting in the death of thousands of people, that could have been avoided had the Delhi Government taken necessary precautions in the fourth wave (second wave country-wide), after absorbing lessons from the first three Covid waves, but that did not happen, and Arvind blamed everyone, except himself, for the Covid fiasco.
The Congress workers, who assembled near the Indra Prastha College, before marching towards the Delhi Vidhan Sabha (Old Secretariat) shouting slogans such as “Pegasus Jasoosi Kand Par Kejriwal Chup, Kuch To Dal Me Kala Hai”, “Dilli Sarkar Ki Laparwahi, Corona Mahamari Ne Machai Tabahi, Kejirwal Ne Shakal Chupai”, “Shah-Kejriwal Pegasus Jasoosi Kand Par Chupi Thodo” etc, but they. were stopped by Delhi Police, using water cannons.
Ch. Anil Kumar said that Chief Minister Arvind, who often convenes special sessions of the Delhi Assembly to discuss minor issues, including the one to hurriedly validate the anti-farmer Laws passed by the Modi Government to earn the dubious distinction of being the first State in the country to do so, shed crocodile tears in front of the farmers to earn their sympathy.
Ch. Anil Kumar said that CM Arvind has been touring other States making many hollow promises, including free power and water, even though Delhiites were thirsting for potable drinking water, and frequent power cuts had made life miserable in the city. He said that the depleted DTC bus fleet has made bus journey a nightmare in the Capital, and the Arvind Government has committed huge corruption in the tendering for the purchase and maintenance contract for 1000 new DTC buses.
Ch. Anil Kumar said that even though Delhiites have been ravaged by the Covid-19 pandemic, which has not spared even a single family in the Capital, the Arvind Government has not taken any step to provide them relief by reducing VAT (Value Added Tax) on petroleum products, as the frequent rise in the prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas, has had a cascading effect on other essential commodities, making it an existential crisis on a daily basis for the common people. He said that even the free ration was reluctantly given at the fag end of the Covid lockdown, only when Delhi Congress raised the issue.
Ch. Anil Kumar said that Delhi has earned the notorious reputation of being “No 1” in pollution, unemployment, Covid cases and deaths, and corruption, but CM Arvind seems least bothered, and keeps telling lies to the people to mislead them. Ch. Anil Kumar said that CM Arvind had claimed that his Government had ‘succeeded’ in providing potable water to 93 per cent areas in the Capital, though it is a fact that the whole of Delhi got more than its share of water through water-logging and over-flowing, chocked drains as desilting was not carried out before the monsoon rains. He said that both the Delhi Government and the BJP-ruled Municipal Corporations of Delhi indulge in corruption to the tune of thousands of crores every year in the name of desilting, though the work only remains on paper, and not at the ground level, resulting in water-logging and huge traffic jams when it rains.
