Delhi CM Arvind sells another false “rosy dream” to Delhiites with his promise of taking senior citizens for a free darshan of the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, which is just a diversionary tactic, to take people’s attention away from the visionless Delhi Budget—Ch. Anil Kumar

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Ch. Anil Kumar said that in a bid to divert people’s attention from the  “visionless, purposelessaimless and hollow” Delhi Budget, Chief Minister Arvind was trying to sell a “rosy dream” to the people, like raising the living standard of  Delhiites to that of Singapore by 2047, preparing Delhi to host the Olympic Games, and now promising to take the senior citizens of Delhi to a free darshan of the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, even though no exact timeline has been set for the completion of the Ram Mandir project!

Ch. Anil Kumar, while reiterating the Congress demand for free Covid vaccination to all Delhiites in both Government and private hospitals,  mocked at Arvind’s assertion of staying in power in Delhi till 2047, when his rosy promises are supposed to actualize. He said that the Arvind Government, which has defaulted in the payment of pension to senior citizens, widows and the handicapped, cut down the number of pensioners among senior citizens, starves the Municipal Corporations of funds to pay the wages of Corona Warriors like the sanitation workers, was now dangling the carrot of a “Ram Mandir darshan”, on an unknown, distant date.

Ch. Anil Kumar said that instead of tackling the existing crises areas like pollution, dirty drinking water, transport, unemployment, loss of livelihood, regularization of unauthorized colonies, housing for the poor who live in JJ Clusters, Arvind was dreaming big, as dreams cost nothing. Ch. Anil Kumar demanded that the Chief Minister wake up from his dream world, face the reality around him and concentrate on governance. He said that the Economic Survey Delhi 2020-21 has projected a glaring, gloomy picture for the national capital, which has already earned the dubious distinction of faring very poorly in almost all the parameters in “ease of living”
