Synopsis:
Senior Delhi Congress leaders accused the BJP and Aam Aadmi Party leaders of protecting the criminals involved in the kidnapping, rape, and murder of the nine-year-old Dalit girl from a JJ Cluster in Kichripur (Kalyanipur), as the Delhi and UP Police were trying to suppress the crime. They voiced their doubts that organ traders seemed to be involved in the crime, as some internal organs of the girl were missing. Addressing a press conference at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan here today, ex-MP Shri Udit and ex-MLA Shri Jaikishan said that ever since the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party came to power, attacks and crimes against Dalits, who belong to the marginalized sections of society, we’re on the rise.

They said that the dastardly rape and murder of the Vth Standard Dalit girl was the latest incident of attacks against Dalit women, and the Kichiripur rape was a repeat of the Hathras’ Dalit girl rape and murder crime. They said that if the Delhi Police and the Uttar Pradesh had acted on time, the criminals, who included a history-sheeter, could have been caught, but they seem to have the blessings of the BJP and Aam Aadmi Party leaders. Others present at the press conference were ex-MLAs Shri Veer Singh Dhingan and Shri Amrish Gautam, and chairman of the DPCC SC/ST Department Shri Sunil Kumar.

Shri Udit Raj said that the haste in which the UP police cremated the body of the Dalit girl, without even informing the family of the dead girl, raises doubts about a cover-up. He said that the criminals involved in the crime were roaming free. He said that if the Delhi Police was serious, CCTV footage could have been checked to apprehend the criminals quickly.

Shri Jaikishan said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind, who was an expert in sitting on dharnas demanding safety and security of women, was silent on the rape and murder of a girl from a poor Dalit family, which exposes his double-standard. He said that the AAP candidate for the MCD by-election from the Kalyanpuri ward was already involved in a kidnap case, which shows that Chief Minister Arvind, promotes criminals, instead of giving security to girls and women. He said that the Delhi and UP Police were in league to hush up the crime.

Ex-MLAs Shri Amrish Gautam and Shri Veer Singh Dhingan voiced their doubts about the involvement of organ traders in the rape and murder of the Dalit girl. They said that under the BJP and Aam Aadmi Party Governments, the poor and the Dalits feel unsafe, as crimes against them have risen sharply. They said that Congress uplifted the Dalits and gave them jobs in large numbers, but the BJP and Arvind Government are undoing the good work of the Congress Governments to keep the Dalits suppressed, helpless.
