New Delhi: Correspondent — On the sidelines of the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo and The Battery Show India (TBSI) 2026, leading clean energy manufacturers and technology providers showcased high-efficiency modules, modular battery systems, and balance-of-system solutions aimed at meeting India’s surging demand across residential, C&I, and utility-scale installations. Driven by supportive policy frameworks like the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, ALMM mandates, and PM Surya Ghar, exhibitors highlighted aggressive capacity expansions and the rapid shift toward high-performance technologies, including TOPCon, Heterojunction (HJT), and zero-busbar architectures.
The show floor underscored an industry-wide pivot beyond pure PV generation toward integrated storage and smarter power management. With the Indian green energy sector projected to sustain a 30–35% CAGR over the next three to five years, domestic giants are heavily investing in multi-gigawatt integrated manufacturing, utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and specialized decentralized applications such as Agri-PV and floating solar.
Key Industry Voices from the Sidelines
Havells India: Scaling Modular Storage and TOPCon Manufacturing
Havells showcased a broad portfolio of off-grid, grid-tied, and hybrid inverters, highlighted by a software-defined, modular system developed with Norway’s Pixii that scales from 3.3 kWh to 100 kWh, alongside utility-grade Power Nod (125 kW+) and Meganod systems.
Mr. Aseem Goyal, Senior Vice President – Renewables, Havells India said, “With solar and renewable energy adoption growing rapidly, energy storage is emerging as the next major area for innovation. Government initiatives such as PM Surya Ghar are accelerating residential solar adoption, while future programmes could further strengthen storage and grid resilience. Backed by a network of nearly 270,000 retailers, global partnerships and domestic manufacturing capabilities, Havells aims to make energy solutions affordable and accessible. With the company manufacturing DCR bifacial and TOPCon panels, we expect strong momentum in domestic solar manufacturing and continued industry growth over the next five years.”
Goldi Solar: Diversifying Module Formats and Expanding Retail Footprint
Goldi Solar presented its latest high-density G12, G12R, and Interdigitated Back Contact (IBC) modules, detailing plans to broaden its market presence from strongholds in commercial, industrial, and utility projects into the fast-growing retail and residential segments.
Ms. Geetanjali Prasad, Vice President – Marketing, Goldi Solar said, “Government initiatives such as PLI, ALMM and PM Surya Ghar are supporting domestic solar manufacturing and adoption. Floating solar initiatives like PM Surya Sarovar scheme can further accelerate clean energy deployment while reducing pressure on land resources.”
SolarFix Infrastructure: High-Performance HJT and C&I Battery Storage
Focusing on operational resilience, SolarFix Infrastructure displayed its PowerPod storage unit—engineered to handle three times the jerk load for heavy C&I operations—along with zero-maintenance Agri-PV trackers and digital remote monitoring tools, highlighting deep supply chain alignments with major developers.
Mr. Anket Kapoor, CEO, SolarFix Infrastructure said, “Our association with Reliance New Energy has driven phenomenal growth. Its 20 GW module capacity at Jamnagar and proposed 5 GW facility in Kutch reflect its focus on end-to-end domestic manufacturing. High-efficiency HJT technology can differentiate through performance rather than price, with economies of scale improving cost competitiveness. Reliance aims to meet 10% of India’s power capacity through renewable energy projects over the next five years.”
Premier Energies: Surging Beyond 10 GW Cell Capacity and Entering Storage
Premier Energies detailed its expanding operational scale following the commissioning of its 7.1 GW Naidupeta facility, pushing its total operational capacities to 10.6 GW for cells and roughly 14–15 GW for modules, while previewing next-generation PV efficiency leaps and an upcoming entry into storage systems.
Mr. Diptesh Halder, Vice President (Channel Sales), Premier Energies Ltd said, “We are showcasing our all-black TOPCon module with efficiency exceeding 23.5%, alongside a zero-busbar module with 25.5% efficiency planned for launch. Government initiatives such as PM Surya Ghar and PM-KUSUM are accelerating solar adoption, particularly in the residential segment. We are also expanding into inverters and plan to introduce battery energy storage solutions in the coming months. With the green energy sector expected to grow at a CAGR of 30–35% over the next three to five years, our focus remains on technological innovation, manufacturing expansion and maintaining product for sustainable long-term growth.”
Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo & The Battery Show India (TBSI) brings together over 1,080 exhibitors, 1,400 brands and more than 54,000 industry professionals with participation spanning international markets.
