Indirapuram, Ghaziabad: Kayastha Parivar Trust (Regd.) organised a special tribute and remembrance programme to mark the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Lal Bahadur Shastri. Members of the trust and distinguished guests paid floral tributes to Shastri ji and recalled his contribution to the nation. The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by chief guest Ajay Kumar Bhatnagar, CMD, KMA Global Inspection & Certifications Service, along with office-bearers and members of the Kayastha Parivar Trust.

Addressing the gathering, Trust President Shailendra Srivastava said that Lal Bahadur Shastri’s simple lifestyle, high ideals and inspiring slogan “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan” continue to motivate people towards national service. He said Shastri’s leadership during challenging circumstances remains an example of courage, integrity and commitment to the country. Treasurer Ravi Ambasht highlighted Shastri’s commitment to national sovereignty, honesty and simplicity and urged the younger generation to draw inspiration from his life and principles.

During the programme, several guests recalled inspiring aspects of Shastri’s life and legacy. Trust Secretary Sushil Srivastava provided information about the objectives and membership of the organisation. The programme also witnessed the participation of several prominent members of the Kayastha community and social and political representatives, including Sanjay Sinha, National Vice-President, Republican Party of India (Athawale); Meenakshi Srivastava, National Women’s President, Akhil Bharatiya Kayastha Mahasabha; Pradeep Bhatnagar, BJP media panelist; Pawan Saxena, Metropolitan President, Subhashwadi Party; Anuranjan Srivastava, Convener, Ghaziabad Chitragupt Mahasabha; Prabhakar Kumar of Ghaziabad Chitransh Mahasabha; Puneet Saxena of Chitransh Chamber of Commerce; Dheeraj Sahay; Nalin Srivastava; Vidhan Chand Srivastava, and others.

The overall programme was organised under the guidance of Trust founder Kuldeep Saxena, who appealed to members of the Kayastha community to follow the ideals of Lal Bahadur Shastri, a symbol of simplicity and peace. Trust Vice-President Sunil Srivastava described Shastri as a great national legacy and said that future generations could help build a better society by following his values. Joint Secretary Rajesh Srivastava expressed gratitude to the guests, visitors and media representatives for their participation.

A large number of members of the Kayastha community attended the programme, including Dr. Preeti Sahay, Dr. Anibha Srivastava, Jaya Srivastava, Sumit Bhatnagar, Pradeep Saxena, Murari Prasad Srivastava, Arun Saxena, Deepak Kumar, Vivek Srivastava, D.C. Mathur, Dinesh Saxena, U.C. Saxena, Sudhir Bhatnagar, Navneet Kumar, Rajesh Ranjan Srivastava and Dheeraj Saxena, among others. The programme concluded with the distribution of refreshments and sweets. Members present on the occasion reaffirmed their commitment to keeping alive the ideals and values of Bharat Ratna Lal Bahadur Shastri.
