New Delhi, August 18, 2026: Healthcare services need not wait for Monday anymore. In a significant move aimed at making medical care more accessible and convenient, Apollo Hospitals has introduced ‘Always Open, Always Here’, extending routine and planned healthcare services to Sundays.



Under the new initiative, patients will be able to access outpatient consultations, diagnostic services, preventive health screenings, follow-up consultations and pre-scheduled procedures across all seven days of the week.


Apollo’s emergency, critical care and inpatient services have always remained operational round the clock. The latest initiative now expands the same accessibility to routine healthcare, giving patients an additional day every week to address their health needs without disrupting their weekday commitments.


Time Constraint Identified as a Major Healthcare Barrier
For millions of working professionals, healthcare often competes with demanding work schedules, family responsibilities and other weekday commitments. As a result, consultations, health screenings and diagnostic tests are frequently postponed.


Apollo’s new initiative seeks to remove this time barrier by allowing patients to schedule essential healthcare services on Sundays.
The move assumes greater significance amid the growing burden of lifestyle-related disorders, including obesity, hypertension, diabetes and metabolic conditions.


Apollo’s health screening data covering more than 2.5 million individuals indicates a substantial prevalence of silent health conditions. According to the data, approximately 26 per cent of those screened were found to have hypertension, while around 23 per cent had diabetes, with many individuals showing no obvious symptoms.


From Reactive Treatment to Preventive Healthcare
The findings underline the need to move beyond a healthcare model that primarily responds after symptoms emerge. Early detection, preventive screening and timely medical intervention can play a critical role in preventing disease progression and reducing the risk of serious complications.


Through ‘Always Open, Always Here’, Apollo aims to provide patients with greater flexibility to seek medical advice and preventive care before health conditions escalate.

What Changes for Patients?
The initiative will provide greater flexibility to patients, subject to the schedule and availability of services at individual Apollo hospitals.


Working professionals can undergo preventive health checks without taking weekday leave. Elderly patients can schedule diagnostic investigations on Sundays, while those requiring follow-up consultations will no longer necessarily have to wait until the next working day.


Sunday services will be supported by Apollo’s existing clinical infrastructure, including specialist doctors, diagnostic teams, operating theatres and coordinated care systems.
