Mumbai, 12August 2026: Ampere, the E2W brand from Greaves Electric Mobility Limited, today announced a major technology upgrade for its best-selling – the Magnus G Max. Powered by the new NxG.io software platform, the upgraded Magnus G Max now offers 30+ IoT-enabled features designed to make every day riding easier, safer and more convenient. The upgrade introduces Cruise Control, Hill Hold, Turn-by-Turn Navigation, Find My Scooter and Ping My Scooter on the Magnus G Max, making it a smarter alternative to traditional petrol scooters.

The new connected features get an intuitive and vibrant looking UI on Ampere Connect App and have been designed with the realities of everyday Indian mobility in mind and address challenges familiar to riders in cities and towns. Hill Hold brings greater confidence in stop-and-go traffic while navigating inclines and flyovers, Cruise Control improves comfort on longer stretches and Turn-by-Turn Navigation on the new 5-inch PMVA digital cluster helps riders stay on course without repeatedly checking their phones. Find My Scooter and Ping My Scooter further simplify locating the vehicle in crowded parking areas, bringing connected technology into practical everyday use, reflecting Ampere’s approach to delivering technology with real everyday relevance.
The connected ecosystem also includes real-time charging status, live tracking, geo-fencing, theft and tow alerts, remote vehicle diagnostics, service booking, charging history and battery health insights. Over-the-air update capability ensures the scooter’s connected experience can continue to evolve over time. The upgraded Magnus G Max also introduces a new Cinnamon Copper colour option, alongside premium dual-tone colours, and is priced at INR 1,09,999.
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Vikas Singh, Managing Director, Greaves Electric Mobility, said, “For Bharat, smart mobility must also be practical, dependable and easy to use every day. With the upgraded Magnus G Max, Ampere is bringing meaningful intelligence to the family scooter segment – features that help riders navigate better, ride more comfortably, locate their scooter easily and own an EV with greater confidence. This is technology designed around real customer needs, and it strengthens our commitment to making electric mobility the first choice for customers transitioning from petrol scooters.”
The connected technology upgrade complements the performance and ownership proposition of the Magnus G Max. The scooter comes with a 3 kWh LFP battery and a 2.4 kW peak motor that offers an IDC-certified range of 142 km and a real-world range of over 100 km, with a top speed of 65 kmph. With 12-inch wheels, telescopic front suspension and dual rear shock absorbers, the scooter is engineered to take on challenging road conditions across different terrains and weather conditions. The Magnus G Max continues to be equipped with next-generation LFP battery technology, designed for a long battery life of 2,00,000 km. For customers looking to upgrade from petrol scooters, this long-life battery proposition, combined with lower every day running costs, delivers a stronger total cost of ownership advantage across the vehicle’s lifecycle. Adding to the long-term ownership confidence, the scooter also comes with a 5-year/75,000 km battery warranty, further strengthening long-term ownership confidence.
