Reinforcing the government’s commitment to eliminate tuberculosis, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) Commissioner Sanjeev Khirwar stated that all essential facilities for TB patients are being provided free of cost by the Government of India, Delhi Government, and the Municipal Corporation.
Highlighting the broader vision, he said that the government’s focused approach towards TB patients reflects a strong commitment to building a TB-Free India. He further underlined that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s healthcare vision is driving the ongoing “TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan,” with emphasis on early detection, uninterrupted treatment, and nutritional support.

The remarks were made during a Food Basket Distribution Programme organised at the Kingsway Camp Chest Clinic (KCC) under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), where nutritional kits were distributed to 5
0 TB patients and beneficiaries. The initiative aims to address malnutrition, a key challenge affecting treatment outcomes.

The event concluded with a renewed pledge by all stakeholders to strengthen efforts under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, reaffirming their commitment to achieving a TB-Free India in the near future.
