New Executive Committee Announced Following High-Voltage Poll Day

After a day marked by brisk voting and brief disruption, residents of Paras Tierra AOA in Sector-137 elected a new executive body, with Sukhpal Singh Rana taking charge as President. The results were declared after vote counting continued till nearly 1:30 a.m., culminating in the formal constitution of the new Apartment Owners Association (AOA).

Polling commenced at 10 a.m. under the supervision of the designated election officer. While the initial hours witnessed peaceful participation, tensions flared in the afternoon over the distribution of voter slips. The disagreement between two groups led to heated arguments, briefly disrupting the voting process for nearly 30 minutes. Police personnel present at the venue intervened to restore order, following which polling resumed smoothly and concluded by evening.


The counting process began at 6 p.m. and extended late into the night before the final results were officially declared.


Sukhpal Singh Rana Takes Charge as President
According to the declared results, Sukhpal Singh Rana has been elected President of the AOA. The newly formed executive committee includes:
Anangpal Chauhan – Vice President
Vikas Salar – Secretary
Aditya Dev – Treasurer
Sangeeta Taluja – Joint Secretary
Dr. Jolly Gupta Jain, Aastha Sharma, Dr. Amarnath, and Someshwar Jha – Members

Addressing residents after assuming office, Rana emphasized that transparency, accountability, and residents’ welfare would remain top priorities of the new administration. He assured that pending developmental works would be expedited and better governance ensured through collective participation.


Dispute Over Rules Temporarily Halts Voting
Residents stated that objections were raised regarding the distribution of voter slips, citing election norms. The disagreement escalated, prompting intervention by authorities to ensure adherence to procedure. Once the matter was resolved, the electoral process resumed without further incident.


With the formation of the new AOA, residents have expressed optimism that administrative efficiency and development initiatives within the society will gain renewed momentum under the leadership of Sukhpal Singh Rana.
