Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Ch. Anil Kumar said that the BJP leaders and workers of Delhi, who plan to undertake a month-long door-to-door campaign to publicise the Modi Government’s “achievements” in the past nine years among the people, should, instead apologise to Delhiites, for misleading them with empty promises, and doing nothing for their welfare.

Ch.Anil Kumar said that the seven BJP MPs from Delhi did nothing for the Capital’s development or improving the quality of life of the people, while the BJP, when it was in power in the MCD, wasted its time in shadow-boxing and petty politicking with the Aam Aadmi Party Government. He said that both these Goverments were busy in indulging in corruption and squandering the tax payers’ money, and not in serving the people, and therefore, they should apologise to Delhiites for their misdoings, inaction and incompetence.

Ch. Anil Kumar said that the BJP Government at the Centre has ruined the lives of the people as unprecedented unemployment and price rise have driven Delhiites to despair. He said that the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party wasted time in slanging matches, as even five months after the MCD elections, the Corporation is yet to start its assigned works. As a result, people have been suffering. He said that the BJP leaders and workers will have no face to show to the people in their door-to-door campaigns other feeling apologetic for their misdoings and inaction.
