All India Congress Committee Co-ordinator for the two-month long “Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan” Dr Madan Mohan Jha, to mark the success of Shri Rahul Gandhi’s “Bharat Jodo Yatra”, addressing a Press Conference along with former Delhi Minister and State Co-ordinator of the Bharat Jodo Yatra Dr Narendra Nath and Chairman of the DPCC Communications Department and ex-MLA Shri Anil Bharadwaj, at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan here today, said that the event will be held from January 26, 2023 to reach out to people, door to door, to thank them for their whole-hearted support to the Bharat Jodo Yatra to make it an unqualified success. A meeting of the Block and District presidents was held today in connection with the “Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan”.
Dr Madan Mohan Jha said that the “Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan” will be an extensive programme spread over two months from January 26, 2023 which will be held in all the Block Congress Committees of Delhi. Dr Jha said that the programme will begin with an impressive opening ceremony as it was due to the massive people’s participation that the Bharat Jodo Yatra of Shri Rahul Gandhi became an outstanding success. He said that the programme will start from booth-level with door-to-door visits to thank everyone for their participation and support for the Bharat Jodo Yatra and enlighten them about the politics of hatred and authoritarian rule by the BJP and the Modi Government, price rise, unemployment, farmers’ plight and other major issues like crony capitalism which received total endorsement from the people throughout the Yatra.
Dr Madan Mohan Jha said that the success of the Bharat Jodo Yatra was proof that people believed in Congress party’s message of love and brotherhood, and peaceful co-existence of all religious faiths which the BJP was trying to destroy with the politics of hatred and communal tension. He said that Shri Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra highlighted the problems and issues concerning the common people, which received wide acceptance.
Dr Madan Mohan Jha said that the “Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan” will be held from Block and District levels followed by a big convention at the State level. He said that a Woman’s March will also be held in Delhi during the two-month Abhiyan. The big Convention will be addressed by Congress president Shri Mallikarjun Kharge. He said that all ex-MPs, ex-MLAs, District presidents, AICC office-bearers, Block presidents, District Co-ordinators, Municipal Councillors, ex-Councillors, heads of Cells and Departments, Frontal Organisations, and booth-level workers will be fully involved in the programme.
Ex-MLA and Chairman of the DPCC Communications Department Shri Anil Bhardwaj said that Shri Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra received an unprecedented reception in Delhi as people from all walks of life, and all strata of society joined the Yatra as Rahulji had raised issues that affected every section of society. He said that the participation of lakhs of people in the Bharat Jodo Yatra was proof enough that Shri Rahul Gandhi had succeeded in awakening the consciousness of the people at the prevailing situation in the country. He said that the Yatra infused tremendous energy in the people to give unprecedented support by them for the Yatra. He said that “Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan” was an extensive programme to carry forward the message spread during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He said that Youth Congress and NSUI will undertake a bike rally during the programme and its publicity will be done through social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, U Tube, Whatsapp besides using hoardings, banners and posters for publicity.
Former Delhi Minister Dr Narendra Nath said that the “Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan” will be held at every booth, every ward, every Assembly and everyParliamentary constituency to make it a wide-reaching programme to thank the people with door-to-door visits for their support and participation in the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He said that the Bharat Jodo Yatra will conclude on January 30, 2023 in Kashmir with Shri Rahul Gandhi hoisting the flag. Dr Narendra Nath said that focus will be on youth and issues like unemployment, price rise, hate politics, local issues etc. will be highlighted during the the “Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyan”.
