Thousands of Delhi Congress workers, at the direction of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Ch Anil Kumar, today held a demonstration outside the BJP Headquarters at Rouse Avenue, to protest against BJP’S “Bulldozer Politics of hate” by targeting the poor, to raze down their houses and shops in a selective manner, to destroy their lives and livelihoods.

The Congress workers, who assembled outside the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan, marched towards the BJP Headquarters, shouting slogans and holding placards and banners, with slogans such as “Atikraman To Bahaana Hai, Gareebon Par Bulldozer Chalaana hai” , “Bulldozer Ne kari Tabaahi, Janata kar rahi Traahi-Traahi” and “Bulldozer ka Macha Bavaal, Chup kyon Modi- Kejariwal” etc.
Prominent Congress leaders who participated in the demonstration were Ex-MP Ramesh Kumar, Delhi Pradesh Congress Communication Department Chairman and Ex-MLA Anil Bhardwaj, Dr. Naresh Kumar, Ex-MLAs Amrish Singh Gautam and Veer Singh Dhingan, District Presidents Vishal Mann, Rajesh Chauhan, Vishnuswaroop Agarwal, Satbari Sharma, Virendra Kasana, Adesh Bhajdwaj, Advocate Dinesh Kumar, Dharampal Chandela and Ch. Zubair Ahmed, Vice Chairman of Delhi Congress Communication Department, Parvez Alam, J.S. Neol, Harsh Chaudhary, Virendra Sharma, and Delhi Social Media Chairman Rahul Sharma and hundreds of Congress workers.

Chaiman of the Communications Department of the DPCC and ex-MLA Shri Anil Bhardwaj said that the BJP took corruption to such high levels during its 15-year misrule in the Municipal Corporations of Delhi, that not a brick could be laid without paying bribes to the BJP and Aam Aadmi Party Councillors and politicians, who allowed unauthorised constructions to mushroom all across Delhi, but the BJP-ruled Municipal Corporations are only targeting the poor to create social unrest and disharmony.
Shri Anil Bhardwaj said that the AAP Councillors and the Arvind Kejriwal Government were active collaborators in BJP’s demolition drive, which was evident from the lukewarm reaction of the AAP to the demolition drive.
Ex-MP Shri Ramesh Kumar said that the BJP and AAP were anti-poor was evident from the fact that the flats constructed under the Rajiv Ratan Awaz Yojna to resettle those living in the JJ Clusters and slum areas by the Congress Government, have not yet been allotted, and these flats have now become the playground of anti-social elements. He said that the JJ Clusters and slum areas are also being demolished, though they come under the Delhi government and not the MCDs.
Dalit leaders and Ex-MLA Shri Amrish Gautam and Veer Singh Dhingan said that both BJP and AAP were anti-poor, anti-Dalit and anti-minority, as these people have been hit hard by the bulldozer demolition, razing down their structures in an illegal manner, without showing any concern.
Delhi Congress Spokesperson Dr Naresh Kumar said that BJP was indulging in vendetta politics to displace the poor, who are not their vote bank, and to extort money from them, as the BJP leaders are well aware that people will not elect them back to power in the MCD.

Vice-chairman of the DPCC Communications Department Shri Parvez Alam said that BJP’s 15-year corrupt governance in the MCDs could not detect any unauthorised constructions and encroachments, but now that the Modi Government has merged the MCDs to usurp the Corporations’ powers, the BJP’s Delhi chief has found out that Delhi is full of encroachments and unauthorised constructions, and they should be razed to the ground, to drive out the poor from Delhi at any cost.
Parvez Alam took a dig at Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodhia and said that Manish Sisodia is shedding crocodile tears on the condition of Delhi’s poor and writes a letter to the Home Minister of the country against the BJP’s Bulldozer politics. He questioned that where he was since the BJP’s bulldozer is being run on the poor in Delhi for so many days?
