Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI) launched its Delhi State Startup Council on 25th March 2021. The Covid induced lockdown in the past year has severely disrupted the startup ecosystem and necessitated a need to set up such a forum where women entrepreneurs can discuss the challenges being faced by them.

The present council endeavours to bring the women entrepreneurs of the Delhi/NCR region under a common umbrella to strengthen the startup ecosystem says State President Meghna Joshi. She is a social entrepreneur and runs a startup SWAN (Skilled Workforce advancing Nation) Livelihood that aims at building capacities of the youthful workforce through specially designed training and learning programmes

The council has 26 members at present and they are looking forward to learning from the expertise of others, get inspiration from the success stories and resolve the problems being faced by them through active collaboration with different bodies. WICCI welcomes women entrepreneurs and professionals to join the Delhi Startup Council in common interest and serve the cause of women empowerment.
