“Pushpa… did you think I was a flower? I am fire.”
While this iconic dialogue may belong to the silver screen, for those who know Pushpa Singh, it perfectly reflects her real-life spirit.

Pushpa Singh’s journey is not just about battling cancer—it is a powerful story of resilience, self-belief, and rising above life’s harshest trials. In 2014, she lost her husband, a tragedy that deeply altered the course of her life. As she was still coping with that loss, another challenge struck—in 2016, at the age of 57, she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

For many, such news could be devastating. But Pushpa Singh chose not to surrender. Instead, she decided that the disease would not define her identity.
In her own words, “Death comes to everyone one day, but before that, life must be lived beautifully.”
What followed was not just a medical journey, but a test of courage, endurance, and unwavering determination. The path was far from easy—marked by pain, uncertainty, long hospital visits, and restless nights. Yet, her strength remained calm, steady, and unbreakable.

Despite having a loving family—two sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren—there were moments when loneliness quietly crept in after her husband’s demise. But she refused to let that emptiness define her.
Instead, she chose to rewrite her story.

Pushpa Singh transformed herself into a fearless solo traveler, exploring different parts of the country. From mountains to seas, bustling cities to quiet villages, her journeys were not just about places—they were about rediscovering herself. With every trip, she proved that life does not stop; it simply evolves.

Embracing technology with equal enthusiasm, she learned to use a smartphone and social media. Through her WhatsApp status updates, she began sharing glimpses of her life—her smiles, travels, and victories. These were not just posts, but symbols of hope and independence.

What truly sets her apart, however, is her compassion for others.
Having experienced pain firsthand, she became a pillar of support for those going through difficult times—be it illness, grief, or emotional distress. Sometimes through words, sometimes through silence, and sometimes simply through her presence, she stands by those in need.

Her empathy brings comfort because she has not just heard pain—she has lived it.
Over the years, she has carved a distinct identity in society as someone who uplifts others, offers strength, and helps selflessly without expectations. Her life teaches that true victory lies not only in healing oneself, but also in helping others heal.

For her, her grandchildren are a celebration of life—a source of joy and purpose. Their laughter fuels her desire to live fully, yet she has never confined her world. Instead, she has expanded it with courage and positivity.

For the past decade, she has remained consistent with her medical check-ups and treatment, never once complaining about pain or circumstances. She chose gratitude over grief and strength over surrender.
Reflecting on her journey with pride, she says:
“I am Pushpa—a flower, delicate yet transient… and I am also Singh—fearless.”
She expresses heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and staff of Delhi State Cancer Institute for their unwavering support during her toughest days. Above all, she thanks God for every new day of life.
Today, Pushpa Singh is not just a cancer survivor—
she is a living testament to courage, compassion, and the true spirit of living.
Her story reminds us that life is not defined by what we go through, but by how we choose to live it.
And in her words—
“If I can win, anyone can… just never forget your inner strength.”
