Bharatiya Janata Party National President Shri Nitin Nabin participated in the Shri Shri Ram Navami Shobha Yatra Abhinandan Samiti held in Patna, Bihar on Thursday and extended his heartfelt greetings to all citizens on the occasion of Shri Ram Navami. He also urged the people of Bihar to witness the grand tableaux scheduled for the following day. Shri Nabin stated that the Hindu New Year has begun, Chaitra Navratri is underway, and the auspicious festival of Ram Navami is set to be celebrated the next day. According to the lunar calendar, the Navami tithi of Ram Navami has already commenced. Through this platform, Shri Nabin conveyed his greetings and best wishes to all the people of Bihar and the entire nation on the occasion of Ram Navami.
BJP National President noted that the festival of Ram Navami has always been celebrated with great enthusiasm in Patna, and for many years, grand processions and tableaux have been taken out in the city. In 2010, efforts were made to organize these processions in a structured manner, and the tradition of welcoming these grand tableaux at Shri Ram Chowk, Dak Bungalow Chauraha began that same year. What started with 8 processions in 2010 has now grown to 52 processions in 2026. This year, the entire city of Patna has been decorated with lakhs of Mahavir flags, and the city appears completely immersed in the spirit of Prabhu Shri Ram, radiating saffron hues. The whole of Chandan Nagar has been adorned with electronic lighting, and an atmosphere of festivity and enthusiasm prevails across Patna. On this occasion, people in every household take a pledge to move forward by embracing the ideals and values of Prabhu Shri Ram.
Shri Nitin Nabin asserted that this year as well, various tableaux will be showcased in the Ram Navami processions. Artists from different states participate in presenting these tableaux, including those from Jharkhand, West Bengal, and from places like Mathura and Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh, as well as Kashi. The sound of bands and traditional drums from different regions will also be heard, with groups coming from places such as Nagpur and Jharkhand, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. Continuous efforts are being made to give Patna’s Ram Navami celebrations a distinct identity across the country. In this direction, the Shri Shri Ram Navami Shobha Yatra Abhinandan Samiti has been working consistently for the past 16 years. Just as Ayodhya, the birthplace of Prabhu Shri Ram, is associated with grand celebrations, Bihar being the land of Mata Sita, Janaki also holds a special place in the celebration of Ram Navami.
Shri Nabin urged the people of Patna to witness the grand Ram Navami celebrations starting from 5:30 PM, where beautiful tableaux will emerge from different parts of the city along with the vibrant sounds of drums and traditional music. The event will have a festive atmosphere, with lakhs of devotees of Prabhu Shri Ram expected to participate. It was informed that several distinguished personalities will attend the program, including the Hon’ble Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Syed Ata Hasnain, Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar, ministers from both the central and Bihar governments, and senior MP Shri Arun Govil, who portrayed Prabhu Shri Ram in the iconic Ramayan television series and influenced an entire generation with that depiction. Senior MP and popular artist Shri Manoj Tiwari will also be present. Efforts are being made to ensure the participation of distinguished personalities from Bihar who have contributed significantly in their respective fields. An appeal was made for maximum participation, expressing hope that this Ram Navami celebration will set a new record and create history with an overwhelming turnout of devotees.
Shri Nitin Nabin stated that the struggle for the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi lasted for 450 years, and due to certain individuals, Prabhu Shri Ram had to spend a long period even in a tent. This is the same India where today a Bhavya Shri Ram Mandir has been constructed in Ayodhya. He added that the fate of those who created obstacles in the work of Prabhu Shri Ram has been witnessed by all. The work of Shri Ram cannot be stopped, and anyone who becomes an obstacle will themselves be finished, but the work of Shri Ram will continue uninterrupted. All of them are devotees of Prabhu Shri Ram, and together they will celebrate Ram Navami in Patna as a grand festival. Across the country, there is widespread enthusiasm for the celebration of Shri Ram Janmotsav, and in Bihar and Bengal as well, Ram Navami processions are set to be carried out with great fervor. On the sacred land where Maa Durga is worshipped with great devotion, her devotees are also celebrating the festivals of Ram Navami and Navratri with equal enthusiasm.
