In a remarkable example of community-driven public health awareness, an impactful Godh Bharai Ceremony and Awareness Program was organized under the Mission Shakti initiative in Geeta Colony, East Delhi. The event stood out as a fine blend of cultural tradition and modern healthcare awareness, with Dr. Rashmi Singh, Secretary, playing a pivotal leadership role.


Organized by the Women & Child Development (DWCD), the program witnessed the gracious presence of Dr. Rashmi Singh as the Chief Guest, whose active involvement and guidance significantly strengthened the outreach of the initiative. District Officer (East), Ms. Sadhana Singh, along with CDPOs, supervisors, nutrition staff, Mission Shakti team members, Anganwadi workers, helpers, and beneficiaries, also participated enthusiastically.

The highlight of the event was the traditional Godh Bharai ceremony, conducted with dignity and celebration for pregnant women. Under the guidance of Dr. Rashmi Singh, special Godh Bharai kits and gifts were distributed, containing essential nutrition and maternal care items.
