In a significant initiative to promote women empowerment and the dignity of the girl child, a grand ‘Beti Bachao–Beti Padhao’ programme was organised by the Department of Women and Child Development, Delhi Government at Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women on Wednesday.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from women, children and beneficiaries, highlighting the growing public support for the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, which aims to improve the status, safety and education of girls in society.

200 Girl Children Celebrate Collective Birth Festival
One of the highlights of the programme was the collective celebration of the birth anniversary of nearly 200 girl children. Their mothers were also felicitated and encouraged, reinforcing the message that the birth of a girl child should be celebrated with pride and dignity.
Officials emphasised that providing equal opportunities, education and support to daughters is essential for the progress of society and the nation.
