Free Breast & Cervical Cancer Screening, Mammography and HPV-DNA Testing | Key Step Toward Women’s Health Empowerment

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a significant healthcare initiative aimed at strengthening women’s health awareness will be organized at the Tis Hazari Court Complex, Delhi. A Cancer Awareness, Prevention and Screening (CAPS) Camp will be held on March 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, focusing particularly on early detection and prevention of breast and cervical cancer among women.
The initiative is designed to promote timely screening, early diagnosis, and preventive awareness, helping women safeguard themselves against life-threatening cancers.

Highlighting the importance of women’s healthcare, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently emphasized expanding access to cervical cancer vaccination and screening programs across the country.
His vision underlines that “healthy women form the foundation of a strong and empowered India.” Nationwide awareness campaigns and screening initiatives are being encouraged to ensure that women receive timely diagnosis, modern healthcare access, and preventive education against cancers such as breast and cervical cancer.

Dr. Vinod Kumar, Director of the Delhi State Cancer Institute (DSCI), stated that increasing awareness about women’s health and cancer prevention has become a pressing necessity.
He noted that organizing screening camps at workplaces enables access to accurate medical information, expert consultation, and early diagnostic services, significantly improving the chances of early detection and effective treatment.
