New Delhi: To ensure peaceful celebrations during the Holi festival, Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha personally took to the streets on Wednesday and reviewed security arrangements across several parts of the national capital. His visit aimed at ensuring a visible police presence and strong law-and-order management during the festivities.


During the tour, the Commissioner interacted with officers and personnel on duty, appreciating their alertness, dedication and commitment while performing their responsibilities during the festival.

Extensive Security Arrangements Across the City
Delhi Police had made comprehensive security arrangements to ensure that the celebrations remained peaceful.
Key measures included:
Enhanced patrolling in major areas of the city
Installation of multiple checking pickets (nakas) across important routes
Deployment of district police units, traffic police and PCR vans
Police personnel were instructed to keep a strict watch on unruly behaviour, drunken driving and reckless driving during the celebrations.

Special Focus on Women’s Safety
Authorities also placed special emphasis on public safety, particularly the deployment of women police personnel at several key locations to ensure a secure environment in crowded markets and public areas.

Boosting the Morale of Police Personnel
During the visits, the Police Commissioner extended Holi greetings to the personnel and praised their spirit of service while staying away from their families to safeguard citizens.

Officials said that due to tight security arrangements and constant monitoring by Delhi Police, Holi celebrations across the capital remained largely peaceful and well-managed, earning appreciation from residents.
