Former Delhi Municipal Corporation candidate from Dilshad Garden and Aam Aadmi Party leader Praveen Kasana launched a sharp attack on the BJP-led Delhi government, alleging that the “Rekha Gupta government has spent one year misleading the public through renaming schemes and aggressive advertisement campaigns.”

He claimed that since the Bharatiya Janata Party assumed power in Delhi, it has failed to present a fresh vision and has merely rebranded schemes initiated by the previous government.

“Kejriwal’s Schemes, Only the Names Changed”
Kasana stated that welfare schemes introduced during the tenure of former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal under the Aam Aadmi Party government are being discontinued and relaunched under new names.
According to him:
Public money is being wasted on rebranding exercises.
No substantial new scheme is visible on the ground.
Development has been replaced by publicity-driven governance.

Allegations of Decline in Schools and Healthcare
Kasana further accused the current administration of neglecting the education and health sectors.
He alleged that:
Government schools are witnessing deterioration in infrastructure and standards.
Hospitals are facing acute shortages of medicines.
Diagnostic machines remain non-functional, with no new equipment being installed.
Patients are being forced to struggle for basic treatment.
He asserted that during the AAP regime, Delhi’s education and healthcare models were widely discussed nationwide, but the situation has now worsened.

Public Transport “In Shambles”, Questions on Yamuna Cleanup
Raising concerns over civic infrastructure, Kasana said Delhi’s public transport system has collapsed, causing inconvenience to daily commuters.
He also questioned the claims made regarding the Yamuna river cleaning drive, alleging that people were misled by tall promises while no visible improvement has been witnessed on the ground.

“All Leaders Acquitted by CBI Court in Liquor Case”
Targeting the central government, Kasana alleged that senior AAP leaders were framed in the liquor policy case due to political vendetta.
He stated that the acquittal of all accused leaders by the CBI Court proves that the case was politically motivated.
According to him, investigative agencies were misused to suppress opposition voices, but “the truth ultimately prevailed in court.”

“Government of Advertisements, Zero Governance”
Concluding his remarks, Praveen Kasana described the present administration as a “government focused solely on advertisements, rhetoric, and renaming politics.”
He said:
“The people of Delhi are watching. If this is the report card of one year, the public will respond at the right time.”
Kasana’s statement has intensified political tensions in the capital, with expectations of a strong counter-response from the BJP in the coming days as the war of words escalates in Delhi’s political arena.
