New Delhi: In a sweeping administrative overhaul, the Government of Delhi has transferred and reassigned 72 senior officers, including 36 IAS officers from the AGMUT cadre and 36 DANICS officers, across crucial departments.


The large-scale reshuffle is being viewed as a strategic move aimed at strengthening governance and improving administrative efficiency in the national capital.

Key Appointments and Major Changes
Santosh D. Vaidya (IAS, 1998 batch) appointed as Principal Secretary (Home).
➤ Also given additional charge of Finance, Planning, and Industries departments.
Bipul Pathak (IAS, 1992 batch), currently Additional Chief Secretary (Social Welfare), assigned additional charge of SC/ST/OBC Affairs Department.
Rupesh Kumar Thakur (IAS, 2006 batch) appointed Secretary, Health & Family Welfare.
➤ Replaces Nikhil Kumar (IAS, 2002 batch), who has now been posted as Commissioner, Trade & Taxes.
Sanjeev Ahuja (IAS) named Secretary (Education).
➤ Also entrusted with additional charge of Higher and Technical Education.
