A powerful message of service, compassion and social responsibility echoed across the capital as a free health check-up and blood donation camp was organised on the occasion of the third death anniversary of Param Pujya Brahmaleen Swami Shri Ganga Swaroop Ji Maharaj.
The camp was jointly organised by the Shri Narayan Ashram Ganga Mandir Trust, Dadhichi Dehdaan Samiti (North-East Zone) and the Maharana Pratap Seva Sangh, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community.
A large number of residents availed themselves of free medical examinations, while many voluntarily donated blood, reflecting a strong spirit of humanitarian service and collective responsibility.
Journalist Arun Sharma Felicitated
During the programme, senior journalist Arun Sharma, who also serves as Vice-President of the National Journalist Association (Delhi State), was felicitated by the organising committee for his outstanding contribution to journalism and consistent public-interest reporting.
The organisers said the honour recognises journalists who courageously highlight social issues with sensitivity and integrity, and who continue to give voice to the concerns of the common people.
A Tribute Rooted in Service
Speakers at the event recalled that Swami Ganga Swaroop Ji Maharaj dedicated his life to service, sacrifice and human welfare. Organising health check-ups and blood donation drives on his death anniversary, they said, was a true tribute to his ideals and lifelong commitment to humanity.
Accepting the honour, Arun Sharma said:
“This recognition is not merely personal. It represents responsible journalism that stands with the weakest sections of society. Such initiatives strengthen social awareness and inspire positive change.”
The programme was attended by representatives of social organisations, saints, members of the intelligentsia and a large number of local residents.
The camp concluded with a clear and resonant message: service and compassion are the most meaningful forms of remembrance and tribute.
