The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a partial revision in the 2026 board examination timetable, deferring certain Class X and Class XII papers scheduled for March 3 due to administrative reasons. The Board clarified that only examinations slated for March 3 have been rescheduled, while all other papers will be conducted as per the original schedule.

According to the official notification issued by CBSE, Class X examinations earlier fixed for March 3 will now be held on March 11. For Class XII, the paper scheduled on the same date has been postponed to April 10.

The rescheduled Class X examinations include Tibetan, German, National Cadet Corps (NCC), Bhoti, Limboo, Lepcha and Carnatic Music (Vocal). For Class XII students, the change affects only the Legal Studies paper.

CBSE has directed all affiliated schools to promptly inform students and parents about the revised dates to avoid any confusion. Candidates have also been advised to carefully check the official notice for complete and accurate details regarding the updated examination schedule.
