In a rare and moving expression of unwavering faith, an anonymous devotee has gifted an exquisite and monumental idol of Lord Ram to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. The divine offering, valued at an estimated ₹30 crore, stands as a powerful symbol of devotion, sacrifice and Sanatan cultural heritage.

The idol measures 10 feet in height and 8 feet in width, weighing nearly five quintals. Crafted in the traditional Karnataka style, the sculpture reflects exceptional artistry. Skilled craftsmen from southern India have adorned the idol with gold, green stones and other precious materials, giving form to the majestic and serene image of Maryada Purushottam Lord Ram.

According to media reports, the identity of the donor remains unknown at present. Temple authorities have stated that detailed information regarding the offering will be shared in due course. The idol was transported from Karnataka to Ayodhya over a period of five to six days under strict security arrangements.

Sources indicate that the new idol is being considered for installation near the Angad Tila area, opposite the Sant Tulsidas Temple complex. Before its installation, a formal unveiling ceremony will be held, followed by a Pran Pratishtha ritual in accordance with Vedic traditions.

Officials associated with the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust have described the idol as more than a religious offering, calling it a confluence of faith, art and timeless spiritual values. The act of making such a significant donation anonymously, they say, reflects the highest form of devotion—one that seeks no recognition.

The sacred city of Ayodhya has thus received yet another divine tribute, destined to inspire generations with the ideals of faith, humility and selfless devotion embodied by Lord Ram.
