Union Home and Cooperative Minister Shri Amit Shah stated that Madhya Pradesh has emerged as the fastest developing state in the country. Despite global economic ups and downs in recent years, the state has overcome numerous challenges and resource constraints to achieve remarkable progress, inspiring the entire nation. From agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, irrigation, industry, energy, tourism, health reforms, mining, pharma, renewable energy, to extensive infrastructure, Madhya Pradesh now stands among the leading states in every sector. He stated that through new approach, entrepreneurship, progressive vision and innovations, the state has set development benchmarks that other states are now following.

Union Minister Shri Shah was addressing the ‘Abhyuday Madhya Pradesh Growth Summit’ organised at Gwalior’s Mela Maidan on Thursday, marking the 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji.

Union Minister Shri Shah stated that India will soon become the world’s third-largest economy, and Madhya Pradesh will undoubtedly make the largest contribution to this historic achievement. Praising the state’s leadership and administrative capacity, he stated that the investor-friendly environment, clear policies and strong resolve have attracted a large number of investment proposals this year, securing the third position nationally.

Union Minister Shri Shah performed the collective Bhoomi-Poojan for thousands of industrial and construction units worth over ₹2 lakh crore across various regions of the state. From the dais, he inaugurated industrial development and road projects valued at ₹5,810 crore and disbursed ₹725 crore in investment incentive assistance to 860 large industrial units through a single-click delivery system. He also released a coffee table book and investment booklet highlighting industrial development in Madhya Pradesh over the past two years, and launched e-Zero FIR for efficient handling of cybercrimes, making Madhya Pradesh the second state after New Delhi to implement this. Shri Shah handed over land allotment letters and Letters of Intent to four investors, including McCain Group’s Director Shri Amitabh Bakshi, LNJ (Bhilwara Group) Chairman Shri Riju Jhunjhunwala, Green Vent Pvt Ltd’s Shri Ashish Kumar Upadhyay and Nature’s Bio Foods Vice President Shri Rajesh Jaiswal. Additionally, in Gwalior district, 57 construction works worth ₹153.04 crore were inaugurated and bhoomi-pujan performed for 13 works costing ₹23.79 crore.

Review Exhibition, Top Job-Creating Industrialists Honoured

Union Minister Shri Shah and dignitaries honoured industrialists creating high employment in the state, including VE Commercial Vehicles Chief Operating Officer Shri B. Srinivas, Vardhman Group Senior President Shri Rajeev Agrawal, New Zeal Fashion Wear Managing Director Shri Dinbandhu Trivedi and Gokaldas Exports Executive Director Shri Prabhatsinh. They reviewed an exhibition on Vision 2047’s industrial development journey, a short film on government efforts for industrial investment & economic growth over two years & e-Zero FIR and released the ‘Resources, Reforms & Rise’ coffee table book.

Shri Shah said the collective Bhoomi-Poojan of industrial projects worth over ₹2 lakh crore today reflects the state government’s rapid push for industrial development. Enterprise leads to industry establishment, industries create jobs, and every hand gets work, strengthening the national economy. Industry and economy are complementary. Every step taken by the Madhya Pradesh government for industrial growth is proving effective in improving the state and national economy.

Union Minister Shri Shah said the ‘Abhyuday Madhya Pradesh Growth Summit’ on late Atal ji’s birth anniversary will accelerate the state’s development. Gwalior has given energy and momentum to the country for years. From struggles against the Mughals to Tansen’s music enriching cultural heritage and contributing the maximum soldiers to the army and paramilitary forces during the freedom struggle and post-independence. This land shaped the towering personality of Atal Ji, who bestowed global pride upon Hindi through his historic address at the United Nations. Under late Atalji, the Tribal Affairs Ministry was created for the first time, accelerating tribal welfare. When he became Prime Minister, infrastructure was not prioritised. Late Atal ji gifted road development projects and made India a nuclear power. Victory in Kargil showcased his resolute leadership. Atal ji was a giant of politics, without enemies, and a true visionary of the era. Shri Shah also paid tribute to Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya on his birth anniversary and C. Rajagopalachari on his death anniversary.

Congratulating the Madhya Pradesh Government and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Union Minister Shri Shah said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had initiated the tradition of industrial summits during his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat through the Vibrant Gujarat initiative, which successfully attracted large-scale investments. He added that, in a similar manner, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has further advanced this tradition by organising Regional Industrial Conclaves to ensure balanced development across the state, thereby laying a strong foundation for investments in all regions. Such efforts will be replicated in all states. Balanced state development is essential, with unique potential in different sectors. The PM Mitra Park in Dhar will benefit cotton farmers, from ‘farm to fibre, fibre to factory, factory to fashion and fashion to foreign exports’. Geographically tailored investment summits are giving new direction to state development. Today in Gwalior, over ₹2 lakh crore worth of inaugurations and Bhoomi-Poojan have taken place. Union Miniter said that Madhya Pradesh was a BIMARU state—former CM Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan lifted it out, and now Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is working to make it developed. Road and irrigation works are progressing, with irrigated area up 17 per cent. The state has won the ‘Krishi Karman’ Award seven times consecutively, surpassing Punjab and Haryana. To fully leverage its central location, a Multi-Modal Logistic Park is being developed in Indore, attracting investors. The state has surplus power, leads the country in cleanliness, and operates the nation’s most cost-efficient metro services. New industries and start-ups have flourished across agriculture, tourism and industry, with 50 per cent of them being run by women. In a single year, the state registered a record 4.57 lakh new MSMEs and is steadily emerging as the hub of the country’s cottage industry.

Union Minister Shri Shah said that India’s first ‘PM Mitra Park’ is based on the 5F vision, maximising farmer benefits. Madhya Pradesh has excelled in ease of doing business; India will soon be a global leader. It will become self-reliant in semiconductors and export them. Digital India has seen massive growth, with 125 crore internet connections by September 2025. UPI has revolutionised the fintech ecosystem, with India accounting for nearly 50 per cent of global digital transactions. The country produces around 60 per cent of the world’s vaccines and has emerged as a leading manufacturer of toys and defence equipment. Under PM Modi, 1.5 lakh km of new national highways built, 163 airports operational, 164 Vande Bharat trains (parts made in MP), 23 metro-connected cities and 2.14 lakh panchayats with optical fibre.

Union Minister Shri Shah urged them to invest fearlessly, the fertile state turns small investments into crores. The government has taken innovative steps for regional development and economic balance through industry and investment.

MP building new model of Investment, employment and inclusive growth under PM’s leadership: CM Dr.Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s able leadership and guidance, Madhya Pradesh is crafting a new model of investment, employment and inclusive growth. The ‘Abhyuday Madhya Pradesh Growth Summit’ will accelerate industrial expansion and create large-scale jobs for youth. The state has become a leading hub of emerging opportunities. This event marks a historic step towards the state’s bright industrial future. Investment in MP is profitable in every way, as India’s heart and a key spiritual hub with infinite potential. Centrally located, it is becoming an ideal centre for trade, business, industry and exports. Calling MP “India’s Centre of Development and Opportunities”, CM Dr. Yadav appealed to all investors to invest in the state. With natural resources, industry-friendly policies, strong infrastructure and stable governance, it offers an ideal environment. Madhya Pradesh is uniquely positioned with 18 new industry-specific policies, a vast land bank, abundant water resources, a skilled workforce, excellent logistics connectivity and a transparent, investor-friendly administration. Opportunities abound in renewable energy, automobiles, textiles, food processing, pharma, IT and petrochemicals. He invited investors to partner in education, research, culture, skills, infrastructure and tourism. Under PM Modi, India is establishing itself as a reliable global development partner, with MP playing a key role. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said the government provided jobs to youth during the Year of Industry and Employment. Late Atal ji was a pinnacle of national policy and politics without enemies. Paying homage on his 101st birth anniversary, he said extensive efforts are underway for the welfare of the poor, farmers, women and youth. Under PM Modi and Home Minister Shah’s guidance, MP became fully Naxal-free on 11 December. The government is striving to boost industrial investment; proposals worth ₹8.5 lakh crore are being grounded. On Atal ji’s birth anniversary, Gwalior and the state receive major gifts.

Union Communications and North East Development Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia said this is the MP’s era of rise; Gwalior has given momentum to state development. Welcoming investors, he called it the state’s gateway, home to luminaries like Atal ji, providing new ideas to the nation and world. Shri Scindia said that the day is not just an event but a call to responsibility. Organised on late Atal ji’s birth centenary, the summit establishes a strong pillar of development, embodying his ideals. Good governance strengthens a nation’s roots, as a tree’s growth depends on strong roots. Under PM Modi, it is the core of governance. He praised national security, unity and law & order, receiving global acclaim. Post-Article 370 abrogations, peace and stability prevailed; effective action against Naxalism and terrorism ensured citizen safety, a result of firm leadership. Atal ji was a visionary; politics was his tool for change and national service, blending struggle, sensitivity and principles. India is emerging as a strong global power through public service and participation, exemplifying Atal ji’s thoughts and PM Modi’s leadership. His life, poetry and ideas continue to guide the nation, and the pursuit of good governance and public welfare as the ultimate objectives of government remains the true legacy of late Atal Ji.

Senior MLA and BJP State President Shri Hemant Khandelwal said today will be etched in regional history. On late Atalji’s sacred birth anniversary, the event holds special significance. Atal ji was India’s soul voice—his thoughts, speech and leadership united the nation. His visionary leadership laid strong foundations for development and positioned India as a reliable investment destination. His life, conduct and ideals guide us all. Principal Secretary, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Department, Shri Raghavendra Singh, stated that the ‘Abhyuday Madhya Pradesh Growth Summit’, organised on the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji, marks a historic milestone in the industrial development of Madhya Pradesh. Under the CM’s visionary leadership, the state is entering a new golden chapter. Beyond announcements, it realises dreams of youth, entrepreneurs and workers—beneficiaries of industries and schemes stand as living proof. Energetic youth from industrial units are connected virtually, with divisional programmes ensuring the development spirit reaches every corner. Shri Singh said 1,118 new industrial units/projects worth over ₹2.17 lakh crore are being grounded, creating 1,93,772 jobs, a strong step for inclusive growth. Inaugurations and bhoomi-pujan for projects worth ₹5,010.1 crore include ₹2,806.7 crore (Industrial Policy), ₹1,018.1 crore (MP Road Development), ₹910.8 crore (Building Development) and ₹274.5 crore (MSME). ₹725 crore incentive to 860 units will boost industry and investor confidence.

For tackling cyber financial crimes, e-Zero FIR launched; a coffee table book and Bhoomi-Poojan booklet were released to inform investors. The event signals MP as a reliable, leading investment hub.
