A grand Golden Jubilee celebration marking 50 years of married life of Mr. Sohanraj Kapurchand Rawal and his wife Mrs. Parvati Sohanraj Rawal was celebrated with great enthusiasm and family warmth at their residence in Lonavala, Maharashtra.
Originally from Bhuti village in Rajasthan, the Rawal couple celebrated this milestone alongside the house-warming ceremony of their newly constructed home, making the occasion doubly special. The entire family came together to commemorate the event as a memorable “Golden Jubilee Festival.”
The celebrations began on the first day with a Bhajan Sandhya (devotional evening). On the second day, a traditional Rajasthani procession accompanied by melodious dhol and thali music marked the morning rituals, followed by puja and tuladan ceremonies. In the evening, a cultural program titled “Sunheri Ek Shaam” (A Golden Evening) was organized, featuring live orchestra music and dance performances by family members. Relatives and guests joined wholeheartedly, making the celebration joyful and emotional.
The 50-year journey of Mr. and Mrs. Rawal has been filled with struggles and perseverance. For nearly 35 years, the family lived in a modest 10×10 rented room, during which they raised their four children—Bhavana, Priya, Hasmukh, and Chetan. Mr. Rawal suffered major financial losses due to business fraud, but Mrs. Parvati Rawal stood firmly by his side. She ran tailoring classes and stitched clothes to support the family, ensuring that the children received proper education and values.
Today, their children have earned recognition across India. During the COVID-19 pandemic, their son Mr.Hasmukh Sohanraj Rawal, through his company MyLab, developed India’s first COVID-19 testing kit, bringing pride not only to the family but to the entire nation.
Remembering the sacrifices and hardships faced by their parents, the sons, daughters-in-law, daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren remain deeply devoted to their happiness and well-being. What began as a journey filled with challenges has now blossomed into a life of comfort, respect, and fulfillment.
Family members and well-wishers prayed for the couple’s good health and long life, expressing hope that they will soon celebrate their 75th wedding anniversary with the same joy and grandeur.
