The Neuroaid & Research Foundation (NRF), established in January 2006 as a Public Charitable Trust, is committed to rehabilitating under-privileged individuals with neurological deficits, including those with special abilities and special needs. Guided by its mission to raise awareness, promote long-term rehabilitation, and foster an inclusive society, NRF reaffirmed its dedication on International Day of Persons with Disabilities, December 3rd.

In alignment with its core values, NRF partnered with UMOYA Sports Delhi to provide therapy services during AAGAZ – Inclusive Sports Fest 2025, held at Maitreyi College, New Delhi. The event was graced by Ms. Manmeet Kaur Nanda, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, as the Chief Guest.

NRF’s experienced physiotherapy team—Dr. Sonal Sharma and Dr. Shalini Singh—worked closely with participating athletes. They conducted specialized warm-up sessions designed to prevent sprains and strains, with focused attention on critical muscle groups such as the shoulder and hand, essential for enhancing performance. The team also offered immediate on-field support, providing rapid assessment and treatment of injuries, which enabled many players to continue competing seamlessly.

NRF’s initiatives were strengthened by the contributions of student volunteers from G.D. Goenka Institute and Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University, whose enthusiasm and support added great value to the event.

The tournament brought together nearly 150 athletes from various schools and reputed organizations, each showcasing remarkable determination, talent, and sporting spirit. It was an honour for NRF to interact with distinguished sportspersons including Mr. Ankur Dhama, Arjuna Awardee and celebrated para-athlete, and Ms. Gulshan, one of India’s leading blind judokas with notable national and international achievements.

The organizers extended heartfelt appreciation to NRF for its vital support and expressed enthusiasm for future collaborations.
