Arbindo College Provided Career Guidance Information to Students

Under the auspices of Arbindo College, affiliated with the University of Delhi, a workshop was organized by the college’s Career Counselling and Guidance Cell in collaboration with the Dramatic Society Moksh to assist students in making career choices after completing their undergraduate degrees. The workshop was inaugurated by the college Principal, Prof. Arun Chaudhary, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The chief speaker, career expert and Director of Prangan, Dr. Nikita Sabharwal, along with speaker Ms. Leevina Kaur Anand, program coordinators Dr. Minni Narang, Prof. Hansraj Suman, Dr. Anil Mavi, Dr. Vinay Bhardwaj, Dr. Mausami, Dr. Ankita Saini, Dr. Parul Jain, and hundreds of students were present.

Addressing the career guidance workshop, college Principal Prof. Arun Chaudhary stated that dedicated career counselling and guidance are essential to support students’ academic, emotional, and professional development. This is why the college has established a guidance cell for students. He appreciated the collaborative efforts of the organizing team in initiating discussions on student welfare and career preparation. Prof. Chaudhary advised students not to choose a career under any pressure but to select a course and career aligned with their interests. He emphasized that building a career in line with current demands and the times will lead to a better future. He further informed that the college aims to establish a career counselling center to directly connect students with employment opportunities.
Program coordinator Dr. Minni Narang shared that before providing information on career guidance, the artists of Dramatic Society Moksh showcased their remarkable talent through a street play titled “Padhenge to Badhenge” (We Will Grow Only If We Study), demonstrating how to choose a career after completing college education. The play powerfully depicted the pressures students face in balancing attendance, assignments, extracurricular activities, and preparation for higher studies. Through expressive performances, it also highlighted the growing need for empathy, understanding, and structured guidance to help students manage academic stress and make informed career decisions. She added that through this cell, seminars and workshops on career guidance will be conducted every month to address employment-related challenges.
Addressing the workshop, Dr. Nikita Sabharwal, Director of Prangan Training and Skill Development Center, began an engaging session on the topic From Classroom to Corporate Journey. She shared practical insights with students on career preparation, workplace expectations, and the transition from academic life to the professional world. She emphasized that before choosing a career, it is essential to understand which courses are in greater demand in government and non-government institutions. However, education in any course is crucial above all—education alone brings transformation in life. Program coordinator Ms. Minni Narang expressed gratitude to all participants and reiterated the cell’s commitment to providing continuous counselling and guidance opportunities for students. This initiative received enthusiastic feedback from students and faculty members, affirming Arbindo College’s dedication to promoting holistic education, emotional well-being, and career empowerment.
