Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) President Shri Devender Yadav today welcomed the leaders and workers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) into the Congress family by garlanding them with the party scarf at the DPCC Office, Rajiv Bhawan, here today. Shri Yadav said that after the defeat in the Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party is becoming extinct in Delhi, as the workers and leaders of the party are joining the Congress by pledging their loyalty to the Congress’ ideology, policies and programmes. He said that the Congress leadership will entrust responsibility to every worker in the party to take forward the fight  Shri Rahul Gandhi has been waging to protect democracy, Constitution, the rights of the poor and Dalits, and voting rights for all without discrimination.


Among those who joined the Congress from the Aam Aadmi Party were  Ward 233 Corporator Rashid Ali from Subhash Mohalla, Karkardooma Court Member Sanaf Khan, Reshma Khan, Shubham Panchal, Tanishq Jayant, Rohit Sharma, Shoaib Iqra, Firoz Malik, Kanchan Sharma, Samreen Saifi, Tarannam Mirza, Raees Ansari, Arif and hundreds of workers including Dwarka B Block President Janved Yadav from Matiala Assembly of West Delhi Lok Sabha constitutency, Sahil Rana, Sukhwinder Pal Singh from Tilak Nagar Assembly, Sanyogita from Vikas Puri Assembly and Umed Singh.Beside Shri Devender Yadav, others present were District president Adesh Bharadwaj and Dharam Pal Chandela, observer Dr P.K.Mishra,Rajesh Yadav, Laxman Rawat, Mohammad Shahzad,Mahendra Khoda and Raghuvinder Singh Pathania.
