In celebration of India’s 76th Republic Day, a grand ceremony was held today at Dilshad Garden, Delhi where the national flag was hoisted by Shri Saurabh Bhatnagar, President, Delhi-NCR, Shri Ajay Gupta, President (Media), and Shri Yogesh Sharma, President (Anti Corruption Cell),Ms.Ankita Mishra, Secretary Delhi Branch ,Mrs. Mamta, President,(Shahdara North), Mrs.Runa Das, President(Media) Shahdara-North, Human Right Council India and other members with immense pride and respect. The event marked a significant occasion in the spirit of unity and national pride, drawing attention to the values of democracy, equality, and justice that the Constitution of India upholds.

The flag hosting ceremony was followed by an esteemed award distribution for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that have made remarkable contributions to the betterment of society. These NGOs were honored for their dedication and efforts towards addressing critical issues such as education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, poverty alleviation, and empowerment of marginalized communities.

The ceremony was graced by Shri Rahul Jain, Ms. Hena Pandey, Mr.H. K. Sinha, Mrs. Dolly Sinha, Ms. Supriya Bhatnagar, Mrs.Meera Tiwari, Ms. Aditi Sharma who lauded the tireless work of these NGOs in strengthening the fabric of the nation. Human Rights Council India shared their gratitude, emphasizing that the Republic Day is an opportunity to recognize individuals and organizations that embody the values of service and community upliftment.

“The work of these NGOs exemplifies the true spirit of Republic Day,” said Saurabh Bhatnagar, President Delhi/NCR, Human Rights Council India, while presenting the awards. “Their commitment to social change and development continues to inspire others to contribute towards a better, more inclusive society.”

The following NGOs were awarded for their exceptional contributions:

  1. Prakriti & Karma Foundation – Awarded for their work in dedication to the welfare of stray animals.
  2. My Dream India Foundation – Recognized for innovative healthcare solutions, Giving Sight Giving Hope programme covers Cataract operations, Eye Testing, distribution of spectacles etc.
  3. My Prosperous Country Foundation – Honored for focuses on addressing unemployment, fostering self-employment, and providing vocational training and career guidance to empower individuals with skills for sustainable livelihoods.
  4. Sansino Development Foundation– Acknowledged for their dedication for advancing Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR), Environmental,Social and Governance(ESG) practices,research and other development areas.
  5. Plus Approach Foundation – Awarded for their work for the weaker section of the society and supporting them by way of providing education and health care facilities.

The Republic Day celebration culminated with the national anthem and a sense of unity and patriotism shared by all present. The flag hosting ceremony and the recognition of these outstanding NGOs served as a reminder of India’s unwavering commitment to social justice, inclusivity, and progress for all.
