Congress will implement the 300 units free power scheme in a transparent manner—Devender Yadav

Telangana Chief Minister Shri Revanth Reddy today launched Delhi Congress’ fourth and fifth guarantees of subsidized LPG cylinder for Rs 500 for every family with a free ration kit and 300 units of free power per family in the presence of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav and AICC In-charge of Delhi Qazi Mohd Nizamudin ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections at a press conference at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan, here today. Congress had earlier announced Rs 2500 per month Pyari Didi Yojna for every woman, Rs 25 lakh health insurance for every resident of Delhi from birth to death and Rs 8500  stipend per month to every educated, unemployed youth for skill development for one year, and the two gurantees announced today completed Congress’ promises to the people of Delhi before the Assembly elections. He said that the Congress guarantees were finalized after getting feedback from the residents of the Capital during Shri Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra and Shri Devender Yadav’s Delhi Nyay Ytra.

Others present at the press conference were Telangana Minister P. Srinivas Reddy, Lok Sabha MPs Mallu Ravi and  Raghuvir Reddy, AICC secretary Sampath Kumar, AICC Delhi Co-Incharge Danish Abrar, former Delhi Minister Dr Narendra Nath, AICC national spokesperson Abhay Dubey, spokespersons Asma Tasleem and Rashmi Singh Miglani.

Shri Revanth Reddy said that the Congress Government fulfilled all its  promises within 13 months of coming to power in Telangana and  similarly, Congress will fulfill all its five promises in Delhi immediately after returning to power. He said that the gurantees announced today will give the people freedom from inflation and price rise. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP had ruined the life of families in Delhi with sky-rockeing inflation, but the Congress gurantee will take inflation out of the kitchens. He said that price rise and unemployment had impacted the housewives the most. Shri Revanth Reddy said that LPG cylinder for Rs 500 per family and a free ration kit per month, containing 5kg rice, 2kg sugar, 1 litre edible oil,  6kg pulse and 250gms of tea will allow families to sleep peacefully, instead of worrying about where would  their next meal will come from. He said that 300 units of free power will also save people from heavy financial burden due to inflated bills.

People have faith in Congress’ ability to deliver—Revanth Reddy

Shri Revanth Reddy said that people have great faith in Congress president Shri Mallikarjun Kharge and Shri Rahul Gandhi, as Congress fulfills its promises as witnessed in Telangana where all the  promises made during Shri Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra and the Telegana Assembly elections were implemented within one year of coming to power in the State. He said that Congress matches its words with deeds, unlike the BJP and Aam Aadmi party, who make promises but do not fulfil them, despite Modi and Kejriwal getting three terms each as Prime Minister and Chief Minister, respectively. He said that Modi talks about sending people to the moon, but he could not address the life-threatening air pollution in Delhi. He said that people now dread to come to Delhi, lest they fall sick from pollution, yet Modi and Kejriwal continue to make false promises to the people.

Shri Revanth Reddy said that Congress threw out the minor partner in the liquor scam from power  in Telangana and now  it was the turn of the people of Delhi to throw out the major partner in the liquor scam, Kejriwal, from power in Delhi. He said that the Congress Government under Smt. Sheila Dikshit had carried out unprecedented developments, including creation of the largest metro rail network in the country, but Kejriwal only made false promises during his three tenures as the CM. He said that there was “political pollution, environment pollution and pollution of lies”, and the time has come for the people to make a decisive change by electing Congress to power.

Shri Revanth Reddy said that his Government gave farm loan waiver of Rs 21,000 crore to over 25 lakh farmers, 55,143 jobs were fulfilled in the State Government, 120 crore women availed of free bus ride, besides fulfilling the promise of free power and gas cylinder at the rate of  Rs 500 per family.

Congress gurantees based on feedback from people—Devender Yadav

Shri Devender Yadav said that during his month-long Delhi Nyay Yatra, taking inspiration from Shri Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, he walked through every nook and corner of all the 70 Assembly constituencies of Delhi and understood the problems and needs of the people. He said that based on his interaction with the people, Congress finalized the five guranatees for the Assembly elections, which the party would   honour on returning to power.

Shri Devender Yadav said that there was big scam in Kejriwal’s 200-unit free power scheme with the money going through the power distribution companies as Kejriwal had refused to audit the accounts of the DISCOMs due to his complicity with them . He said that Congress’ 300-unit free power will be implemented in a transparent manner through DBT (Direct Bank Transfer).
