Haryana ranks 5th in GST collection for the financial year 2023-24 and first among major states in per capita GST collection
Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini on Wednesday inaugurated the Tax Bhawan in Rewari district and all 27 GST Suvidha Kendras in offices for the convenience of traders and taxpayers on Good Governance Day. The construction of the Tax Bhawan in Rewari cost Rs 29 crore and it is built in an area of 4 thousand 571 square meters. He said that traders will get all the facilities under one roof in these GST Suvidha Kendras. This center will provide many important facilities for traders and entrepreneurs like registration, return filing, tax payment and consultation related to GST law. Not only this, traders will also be given training on e-way bill and other online processes here. Work processes have been simplified by using digital technology in these centers, which will save time and resources of traders.
The Chief Minister said that these GST Suvidha Kendras will contribute significantly in realizing the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi of one nation-one tax. GST Suvidha Kendras will play an important role in building ‘Developed Haryana Developed India’. He said that GST is the biggest indirect tax reform after independence. This has brought about a change in the country’s market. Many indirect taxes have been abolished due to this. GST has brought many benefits to the trade and industry sector.
Haryana is one of the states with the highest growth in GST collection
Mr. Nayab Singh Saini said that Haryana has always been a leader in implementing tax reforms. Today, Haryana is one of the states with the highest growth in GST collection. Haryana ranks 5th in total GST collection for the financial year 2023-24 and first among major states in per capita GST collection. The state government has launched GST Suvidha Cell to help startups in Gurugram. In this, start-ups get end-to-end help from registration to filing returns. Similarly, MSME GST Suvidha Cell has been launched in Vanijya Bhawan, Panchkula. This is helping small entrepreneurs to easily comply with GST. Apart from this, the government has decided to organize meetings at range and district level on the second Friday of every month with trade associations, tax bar associations, chartered accountant associations and other related stakeholders. This will promote mutual trust, coordination and cooperation.
Haryana becomes a favorite place for setting up industries
The Chief Minister said that due to the favourable policies of the state government for businessmen, Haryana has become a preferred place for doing business and setting up industry. Today, there is a safe and favourable environment in the state for businessmen to do their business honestly. Apart from this, the state government has constituted Haryana Vyapari Kalyan Board to solve the problems of businessmen. Online facility of e-refund has been started for businessmen. In the field of taxation, online facility of e-registration, e-payment of tax and e-filing of returns, e-tendering and issuance of C-form has been started.
He said that under the revised Mukhyamantri Vyapari Compensation Insurance Scheme, eligible taxpayers are given insurance cover ranging from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 25 lakh for loss of goods or furniture and fixtures or both in case of fire and burglary. For the convenience of traders, e-way bill scheme has been started for inter-state movement of goods. For the welfare of small and medium traders, they have been brought under the MSME department.
He said that our government has established medical colleges in 15 districts. In 7 other districts, the foundation stone has been laid or work is in progress. In the coming time, there will be a medical college in every district. Not only this, the Medical University of Haryana is fully ready, it will be inaugurated soon. He said that the state government has established a college every 20 kilometers, so that girls do not have to go far for higher education. He said that by working shoulder to shoulder with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in building a developed India, the state government will also work to take Haryana forward at a fast pace.
After Gurugram, Rewari district is becoming the first choice for industrialists- Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh
Union Minister of State Rao Indrajit Singh said that GST Suvidha Kendras have been inaugurated across the state to provide all kinds of facilities to the taxpayers and traders of the state under one roof. All kinds of facilities related to tax will be available in this building constructed at a cost of about Rs 29 crore in Rewari. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has taken the country to new heights by launching GST under the One Country-One Tax scheme. Earlier, shopkeepers, traders and industrialists had to pay different types of taxes, but with the implementation of GST, taxpayers have found it easier to pay taxes. At present, Gurugram district of Haryana gives the highest tax revenue. After this, Rewari district is continuously moving ahead in terms of development by being at the second position in the state. After Gurugram, Rewari district has become the first choice for industrialists. He said that at present more than Rs 1.5 lakh crore GST is coming into the country’s treasury through which the development of the country is getting continuous momentum.
Rewari MLA Shri Laxman Singh Yadav, while speaking at the program, said that with the construction of GST Suvidha Kendra, the industrialists and taxpayers of Rewari district will start getting all kinds of facilities under one roof. The MLA thanked the Chief Minister for inaugurating the GST Bhawan built at a cost of about Rs 29 crore in Rewari.
In the program, Principal Secretary of Excise and Taxation Department, Mr. Devendra Singh Kalyan said that GST Suvidha Kendras will have computer systems, internet connectivity, GST, literature library. The problems of small taxpayers will also be resolved in it. He said that Haryana is among the small states in terms of both area and population, but it is among the top five states of the country in GST collection. He said that the department will not only achieve the revenue collection target to be collected for the state government but will also collect more revenue than that target.
On this occasion, Haryana Health Minister Kumari Aarti Singh Rao, MLA Dr. Krishna Kumar, Mr. Anil Kumar Yadav, Excise and Taxation Commissioner Mrs. Ashima Barard along with many dignitaries and officials were present.
