Delhi’s development will resume only after Congress returns to power—Qazi Mohd. Nizamuddin

Delhi Congress releases White Paper on the Black Deeds of Kejriwal and BJP—Kejriwal sold big dreams only to betray the people—Devender Yadav

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee today released a White Paper on the Black Deeds of 11 years of corrupt rule by the Aam Aadmi Party and  10 years by the BJP at a press conference by AICC treasurer Shri Ajay Maken, MP, Delhi Pradesh Congress  Committee president Shri Devender Yadav, AICC In-charge of Delhi Congress Qazi Mohd. Nizamuddin, Co-Incharge Shri Sukhwinder Singh Dani and Shri Danish Abrar, former Delhi Minister Dr Narendra and Shri Abhay Dubey at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan, here today.

Shri Ajay Maken said that the one word to describe Kejriwal was “farjiwad”,  as he was the biggest ‘fake’  in the country. He said that Kejriwal lied his way through without fulfilling any of the promises he made to the public.

Qazi Mohd. Nizamuddin said that Delhi’s development will resume only after Congress returns to power, as only a Congress Government could make Delhi the best city in the world once again.

DPCC president Shri Devender Yadav said that 11 years ago, the people of Delhi had elected Kejriwal to power with great expectation and faith, but the public feel betrayed now as he deceived them with unfulfilled promises and corruption. He said that during the 15-year-rule by the Congress Government, Delhi was transformed into a world class city with all-round developments. He said that the Congress Government introduced CNG fuel in public transport to eliminate air pollution, constructed the metro network to ease travel woes of the public, built flyovers and underpasses, stadiums and roads, enhanced the green cover and carried out many other development works and welfare schemes to make the Capital one of the best in the world.

Shri Devender Yadav said that Kejriwal came to power selling big dreams to the public, promising to end corruption, fast track devel development works, free power and water, better roads to make the Capital like “London and Paris” and the Yamuna like the Thames river, but what they got in return was corruption, broken roads, air and water pollution, inflated power and water bills, unemployment, price rise, deteriorating/crumbling civic infrastructure and other such woes.

Shri Ajay Maken, elaborating on the 12 main points in the White Paper ,  said that while thousands of people fled Delhi in agony during the Covid-19 pandemic, BJP built the Central Vista and Kejriwal constructed his “Sheesh Mahal”; Rs 1780  crore budget allocation of old age pension were allowed to lapse as the Central Government allocated only Rs 1800 per pensioner instead of Rs 2000, and Kejriwal Government refused to add the rest Rs 200, and thus allowed the budgeted amount to lapse, though the best option would have been to pay the Rs 1800 per pensioner given by the Centre. He said that similarly, not only no new ration card was made, many cards from the existing number were cut. He said that AAP and BJP joined hands to raze down  2,80,000 slums without providing alternate accommodation;  Government hospitals face 30 per shortage of doctors, new hospital construction works have hit a roadblock due to shortage of funds to the tune of Rs 10,250 crore, 56,000 EWS seats are vacant and many schools are without vice-principals and teachers, 40% increase in power tariff, 40% households get dirty water, 30 people died in two months during this monsoon due to electrocution and waterlogging, Yamuna was turned into a big drain; even after a lapse of 3652 days, there was no mention about Jan Lokpal, which  Kejriwal  had promised to implement as soon as he assumes power, and Delhi did not become like London or Paris, but became No 1 in pollution with 500 kilometres of broken roads and 2013 feet of garbage accumulation.

Shri Ajay Maken said that AAP and BJP joined hands to make Delhi No 1 in crimes, ‘Aam Aadmi’ Kejriwal became the King of Sheesh Mahal, turned Delhi into a hate Capital, made the lives of Dalits hellish and made the life of women unsafe and extremely difficult. He said that in every index of development and progress, BJP and AAP failed Delhi, and it was now time for Congress to comeback to Government to “end drama and resume work”.
