The common people of the Uttam Nagar assembly are extremely angry against the BJP and Aam Aadmi Party; development and peace have become the main issues.
Amidst the presence of thousands of people in the Mahapanchayat, Mukesh Sharma announced to hold a Mahapanchayat in Bindapur on January 5, 2025.
A new political experiment took place today in the Uttam Nagar Assembly amidst intense political excitement regarding the upcoming assembly elections in Delhi. In a historic Mahapanchayat organized near Mohan Garden Peepal Chowk, the general public took a unanimous decision to elect 4-time former MLA Mr. Mukesh Sharma from the Uttam Nagar area in the upcoming assembly elections. Thousands of local people, RWA officials, and people from social organizations were present in the Mahapanchayat.
It is known that for the last 18 days, Shri Mukesh Sharma was on a padyatra in the Nawada Ward & Mohan Garden Ward of the Uttam Nagar Assembly, and he met the public by raising the issue of the hellish situation that has arisen in the area in the last 11 years. The specialty of this Mahapanchayat was that no hoarding banners were put up for it, nor were any arrangements made to bring people. In this Mahapanchayat organized amidst heavy police arrangements, people started reaching Peepal Chowk from 12 o’clock, and by 1:30 there was no place to stand there. People were standing in groups at the intersections and squares of every colony and listening to the views being expressed in the Mahapanchayat.
It is known that in the last 11 years to date, the MP from this area has been from BJP; the councilor in Delhi Municipal Corporation was also from BJP for 10 years. After 2013, he was a BJP MLA twice and has been an Aam Aadmi Party MLA for two years, and currently, despite all four councilors being from the Aam Aadmi Party, the entire area is in a hellish situation; sewers are full, and roads are broken. And all the roads that are fine were built during the time of Mukesh Sharma. Not a single new government school was opened. The approved government hospital in Mohan Garden was cancelled. Water has decreased in UGR. Dirty drinking water, closed old age pension, not making new ration cards, not getting relief from the traffic jam at Dwarka turn, Uttam Nagar. There is a big political issue in this area.
Amid the Mahapanchayat, there was a lot of anger among the local people over the fact that the Aam Aadmi Party alleges that the Central Government and the Lieutenant Governor are not allowing them to work in Delhi, and the BJP MPs and leaders say that we do not have a government in Delhi. Regarding both these things, the public is saying that this time we will bring the working Mukesh Sharma.
In the Mahapanchayat, the public also decided that Shri Mukesh Sharma will be free to contest elections with whatever flag, stick, and symbol he wants. The public will remain with him in every situation. Angry people are also saying that the public will raise the necessary funds to contest the elections.
Shri Mukesh Sharma also said that the public is also demanding accounts of MP Fund, MLA Fund, and Councilor Fund after 2013. He said that if it is revealed where these funds have been spent, then these people will not be able to show their face. Expressing his gratitude to the public, Shri Sharma said that he will not let that trust be broken and will once again make Uttam Nagar an area of 2013, and development and peace will return here. While assuring the public, he also said that whatever scheme will be implemented, it will be implemented first in Uttam Nagar, even if I have to sacrifice my life for it.
Shri Mukesh Sharma also announced that a similar Mahapanchayat will be organized on January 5, 2025, at 1 pm on Bindapur Matiala Road, Shriram Chowk, for the preparation of which he will start a padyatra in Uttam Nagar and Bindapur Ward from the 24th.. He revealed that in the survey of about 1200 people, 70 percent believe that this time the people who work and the slogans and not slogans of the parties will win. Shri Sharma also said that to get rid of the jam, underpasses will be built at Dwarka Mode and Uttam Nagar Terminal.
A large number of women, youth, and elders also participated in the Mahapanchayat, and people were full of anger against Mahanark.
