Saurabh Bhatnagar was felicitated with the prestigious Indian Pride Award 2024 at the National Meeting organized by the Human Rights Council India on December 15, 2024. The award was presented by Mrs. Aarti Rajput, National President of Human Rights Council India, and Shri Kunwar Vijay Pratap, MLA of Punjab. The event took place at the elegant Hotel Royal Castor, Albert Road, Amritsar, and drew participation from council members across the nation.

The annual meeting served as a platform for representatives of the Human Rights Council India (HRCI) to come together, discuss critical national issues, and strategize ways to protect and uphold human rights across the country. Shri Kunwar Vijay Pratap graced the occasion as the chief guest, adding significance to the proceedings.
In her address, National President Mrs. Aarti Rajput emphasized the council’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding human rights. She elaborated on the council’s mission, ongoing initiatives, and future goals, urging members to unite in combating human rights violations. “The fight for justice and equality requires collective effort and determination. Together, we can put an end to the widespread violation of human rights in our country,” she stated passionately.
The event also featured a notable address by the newly appointed Delhi President of the Human Rights Council India. Speaking on the occasion, he shed light on the alarming pollution crisis engulfing Delhi NCR, which poses a severe threat to public health and the environment. “While multiple factors contribute to this crisis, stubble burning across North India remains one of the key issues demanding urgent action,” he remarked. Highlighting the council’s pivotal role, he affirmed his commitment to addressing pressing regional concerns and advocating for environmental justice.
The Delhi President extended heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Aarti Rajput, National President, and Dr. Rahul Singh Jamwal, National Secretary of HRCI, for entrusting him with this significant responsibility. “I am honored to take on this role and vow to work diligently to fight against human rights violations,” he added.
The event concluded on a positive note, reinforcing the council’s vision of justice, equality, and a united effort towards a better, more equitable society.
