Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav said that Kejriwal, who seems to be very ‘concerned’ about the deteriorating law and order situation in the city now, particularly after coming out of jail, and instead of asking his own Government to take fool-proof steps to ensure the safety and security of the people, he was indulging in cheap politics by trading charges with the BJP. He said that AAP and BJP were equally guilty of creating a “jungle raj” in Delhi, with criminals ruling the roost. He said that when Congress was in power in Delhi, unemployed  Kejriwal had demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Smt. Sheila Dikshit following the Nirbhaya incident, and wondered whether Kejriwal will demand the resignation of his own Chief Minister Atishi as law and order has totally collapsed in the Capital, with 4-5 rapes and assaults on women happening every day. He said that murders, robberiess, snatchings, extortions, kidnappings and other heinous crimes take place daily but AAP and BJP have no conctrete plans in place to restore  the law and order in the Capital.

Shri   Devender Yadav said that Kejriwal had played a major role in the criminalization of Delhi with his corrupt liquor policy which allowed opening of liquor vends all across the Capital, including non-confirming areas, which  induced unemployed youth to liquor addiction as Kejriwal and Sisodia allowed liquor to be sold at cheap rates to  ruin the health of the youth, or force them to turn criminals.

Shri Devender Yadav said that Kejriwal was diverting the attention of the people from the total collapse of governance in the past 11 years with the Delhi Assembly elections at the doorstep. He said that Kejriwal was a total failure as Chief Minister, and his successor too proved no better in tackling the problems of Delhi. He said that Kejriwal did not make any noise when  over 30 people died in various monsoon-related mishaps for which the AAP-ruled Delhi Government and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) were responsible. He said that Kejriwal sacked the bus marshals because of which women dread to take free rides in the DTC buses.
