Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav met a delegation of auto drivers during the Delhi Nyay Yatra who narrated how Kejriwal deceived them with rosy promises to mount his publicity campaigns. Shri Devender Yadav assured them that when Congress comes to power, it will take prompt steps to address the problems of the auto drivers who play a vital role in providing affordable transport option to the public with the DTC service in a totally messy state.

Shri Devender Yadav said that 12 years ago, an “imposter” sprang on the political scene of Delhi, promising to bring instant solutions to all the problems of Delhi, but after remaining in power for 11 years, Arvind Kejriwal’s balance sheet was full of corruption cases, time spent in jail in connection with the liquor scam, and other irregularities.

Shri Devender Yadav started the 25th day of the Delhi Nyay Yatra from KFC Rama Park, Nevada, Uttam Nagar, and he was joined by Uttarakhand PCC president Shri Karan Mahara and Punjab PCC president Shri Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, who were highly impressed by the turnout of thousands of local residents and Congress workers and volunteers for the Yatra.

Addressing the participants, Shri Devender Yadav said that Kejriwal came to power promising transparent, people-friendly governance, but what the public witnessed over the years was corruption at unprecedented levels, which sent MPs, MLAs, Ministers and Kejriwal himself to jail. He said that Aam Aadmi Party’s corruption and inefficiency in governance drove people to desperation, making it hard for women to run their households as vegetables and dals vanished from kitchens, youth were unemployed, old were not getting pension, street vendors did not get vending licenses and vending zones, which exposed them to harassment by officials and police, small shop keepers and traders were put in great difficulty due to the wrong implementation of the GST, dirty drinking water, inflated power bills as traders with commercial meters were getting bills treble the normal tariffs, but Kejriwal was unmoved.

Shri Devender Yadav said that while common people were not getting their welfare pensions, and struggling for even essential items, and the bus marshals were not being reemployed despite the Lt. Governor giving his go-ahead for their appointments, Kejriwal was making announcements of various welfare schemes for lawyers as insurance to ensure that he avoids jail term as he his friends were facing many corruption cases.
