Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Devender Yadav said that Delhi Congress has been making intensive preparations for the month-long Delhi Nyay Yatra, which will start from Rajght on November 8 and conclude on December 4. He said that Congress workers have been fully charged up and activated to make the Yatra an unqualified success.
Shri Devender Yadav said that the Yatra, which will pass through all the 70 Assembly segments with 250-300 Congress workers participating, will closely interact with the public to expose the incompetence and failures of the Kejriwal Government and the BJP in tackling the problems of the people and ensuring the development of the Capital, which had been put on hold for the past 11 years. He said that the Delhi Nyay Yatra will set the agenda for Congress’ return to power in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.
Shri Devender Yadav, addressing a large meeting of Congress workers, ex-MPs, ex-MLAs, Municipal Councillors, ex-Councillors, District and Block Congress Committee presidents and office-bearers, social media volunteers and office-bearers of the frontal organizations, at the DPCC office, Rajiv Bhawan here today, said that both BJP and AAP have conspired to turn the clock back on Delhi’s development with their constant bickerings. He said that as a result, not only the development of the Capital has suffered irreversible setbacks, but the people have been suffering extreme agony with the BJP and AAP leaders only indulging in publicity and cheap political stunts.
Shri Devender Yadav said that the Congress party, under the dynamic leadership of Shri Rahul Gandhi and Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, has been waging a relentless fight to protect the Constitution and Democracy as the BJP and AAP have joined hands to weaken and destroy them, and this will be highlighted to enlighten the public during the Nyay Yatra, which will be held in four phases.
Shri Devender Yadav said that Delhi had witnessed its golden period of development during the 15-year Congress Government when the metro project got on the rails, innumerable flyovers and underpasses were constructed, pollution control measures were strictly implemented by ensuring a robust, pollution-free public transport system, a cleaner Yamuna river, education in Government schools was transformed to make it par with top public schools, and advancement in every field, including public welfare, but Kejriwal, in collusion with the BJP, destroyed the Capital with corruption-ridden misrule, as he only made hollow assurances without fulfilling any of the lofty promises he had made to the public.
