New Delhi, September 03, Delhi Pradesh Congress President Arvinder Singh Lovely said that the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Aam Aadmi Party have given step-motherly treatment to lakhs of villagers living in Delhi rural areas and both the parties makes false promises at the time of elections.

Arvinder Singh Lovely, while justifying the farmers who came to the Mahapanchayat of 360 villages of Delhi Dehat here today, said that the Congress Party supports all the demands. He said that today Delhi Dehat is suffering the consequences of the wrong policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Aam Aadmi Party governments. Today the villages of Delhi are shrinking and cities are being built in them and the people here are being forced to migrate.

A large number of villagers participated in the mahapanchayat including Congress party’s senior spokesperson Dr. Naresh Kumar, former MLA Vijay Lochav, corporator Mandeep Singh.

Arvinder Singh Lovely reminded that when he was the Urban Development Minister in Delhi Government, he along with the then Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit had got the proposal of imposing tax in rural areas scrapped. He strongly opposed the taxes imposed in the villages of Delhi Dehat and said that Bharatiya Janata Party and Aam Aadmi Party have nothing to do with the problems of farmers and villagers.

Arvinder Singh Lovely Demanded that  house tax should not be imposed in Lal Dora area of the capital, regularization of rural population, giving land ownership rights to the landless, implementing the 20-point program of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, sections 81 and 33 of the Delhi Land Reforms Act. He said that the Congress has always been fighting for the rights of the farmers and it will never back down. He said that congress party will fight for the interests of the farmers and the local people will continue by foiling the conspiracies of the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party to infiltrate the rural areas.

Arvinder Singh Lovely said that the AAP government of Delhi makes excuses instead of fulfilling the promises made to public and the biggest example of this is the Sports University in village Ghevra, about which Kejriwal had announced years ago, but on that ground today not even a single brick has been laid which shows the difference between their words and actions.
