CM virtually attends mass marriage ceremony at Thandla in Jhabua
Greets 300 newly married couples

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that necessary action will be taken to provide benefits to the newly married daughters as per eligibility under the Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana. Necessary instructions are being given to the concerned officials for this. The state government has implemented many schemes for the welfare of daughters. Daughters are a boon for us, not a burden. There was a time when the attitude towards daughters was relatively less positive. After the launch of Mukhya Mantri Kanyadan Yojana in the year 2006, Ladli Laxmi Yojana and now Ladli Bahna Yojana have been started. He said that provision has been made to reserve 30 percent seats in police recruitment and 50 percent seats in local bodies for daughters. An initiative has been taken to ensure that the share of girls in the educational work is at least half. Today the daughters of the state are in a respectable position taking advantage of the educational facilities.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan today virtually addressed the Chief Minister mass marriage ceremony of 300 couples in Thandla Janpad Panchayat of Jhabua district from the CM’s residence. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan congratulated and extended best wishes to the newlyweds.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan wished of good fortune and wellbeing of the newly married daughters. Shri Chouhan said that even a thorn should not touch their feet. Marriage is a sacred bond of two souls. Husband and wife have to cooperate with each other. Both live happily and also do the work of boosting the respect of the families. Fulfill the promises given to each other in marriage. CM Shri Chouhan said that married couples are being given a cheque of Rs. 49 thousand under Kanya Vivah-Nikah Yojana, with this they will be able to buy essential household items. CM Shri Chouhan congratulated the administrative staff and the people who helped in organising the event in Jhabua district in an organised manner.
