At the direction of the All India Congress Committee, Tiranga Yatra was held in all the 70 Assembly constituencies of Delhi. Ch. Anil Kumar led the Tiranga Yatra from Hauz Qazi Chowk, Chawri Bazar to Turkman Gate, Delhi, which was organized by Chandni Chowk District Congress Committee president Mohd. Usman. In the Tiranga Yatra held in the Assembly constituencies, besides local Congress workers and leaders, former MPs, ex-MLAs, Municipal Councillors, ex-Councillors, election contested candidates, Block presidents, and workers from various cells, departments and office-bearers of the Congress also participated.

Ch. Anil Kumar said that Congress was an ideology, a movement which played a crucial role in the Independence of the country and gave several iconic leaders to the nation, before catalysing into a political outfit after the country earned freedom from foreign rule. He said that Congress provided invaluable service to the nation, leading it to mammoth development, progress and prosperity.
Ch. Anil Kumar said that it was very distressing to note that the country was being driven to a totalitarian State by the Modi Government by crushing opposition and meaningful debate, and the ongoing farmers’ agitation on the borders of Delhi was the best example of the Central Government trying to trample upon those who till the land by enacting three agricultural laws which will allow a select few Corporates to rule the farm sector at the peril of the farmers. He said that the BJP Government at the Centre was making every effort to communalize the country, and the impact of which is being felt in the employment and industrial sectors to set a dangerous precedent, which will tear apart the democratic fabric of the country.
Ch. Anil Kumar said that the Modi Government is anti-poor, anti-labour, anti-farmer, anti-business and anti-middle class, who are now struggling to eke out a living under oppressive conditions. He said that the insensitivity of the Modi Government towards the farmers was evident from the fact that it was not even willing to discuss the genuine demands raised by the farmers despite these farmers protesting in the open in the chilling cold for the past one month.
Ch. Anil Kumar appealed to ex-MPs, ex-MLAs, Municipal Councillors, Block presidents and ordinary Congress workers, who are the backbone of the party, to post “SelfiewithTiranga” in their social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube to give wide publicity to the Tiranga Yatra to mark the Foundation Day of the Congress.
Ch. Anil Kumar has also directed the observers to suggest probable names for the post of Block presidents, chairpersons for the Booth Committees, Social Media Co-ordinators at the Block-level, and most importantly, give preference to women in the party’s organizational setup, and send them to the Pradesh Congress Committee. The observers’ reports should be sent to the DPCC president in a sealed cover latest 10 January, 2021.
